Supply Surge Stabilizes Fuel Stocks: Breaking News Update

Must read

Fuel supplies in the country remain stable, even after a notable surge in inventory levels from last week. According to the latest government statistics, as of midnight Wednesday, there has been a slight decrease in petrol and jet fuel stocks by three days’ worth, while diesel has seen a minor increase. Specifically, the nation currently holds 56.2 days’ worth of petrol, 46.3 days of diesel, and 47.7 days of jet fuel, either on hand or en route.

In comparison to the previous report, the petrol supply was at 59 days, diesel at 45.2 days, and jet fuel at 50.2 days. Despite these changes, government officials have confirmed that fuel stock levels remain comfortably above the minimum requirements and are within standard operational ranges. This assurance comes as a relief amid the typical fluctuations observed in fuel shipments.

The recent boost in supply was attributed to a series of large shipments that were sent to New Zealand. These shipments follow a predictable pattern where substantial increases are followed by a decline as stocks are depleted before the next batch of shipments arrives. This cycle ensures that the country maintains a consistent supply of fuel.

Regular fuel deliveries continue to arrive as scheduled, providing stability for the market. Fuel importers remain optimistic about maintaining adequate supplies, with confirmed orders extending through to late June. This confidence underscores the resilience and reliability of the fuel supply chain in meeting the nation’s demands.
